What's with the picture?

I think it captures exactly how many little men are in my head at any given time:
the Dark Guy
the Electrifying Guy
the Soft Guy and
the Gator Guy

Willkomen, Bienvenue, Welcome

Hello, If you are here now you are either: someone who knows me someone who hates me someone who loves me or one unlucky SOB. How ever you got here, welcome to my blog. IMO, Blogs are the single largest expression of the modern phenomenon known as "Unwarranted Self-regard" which has been sweeping America and several other countries these last few years. The origin of this blog is a result of my succumbing, despite a keen distaste for the above, to a few facts of my own existence. 1. I can't keep my mouth shut and have what I am told are 'strong opinions' (why would prefer I have weka ones?); 2. I am actually deluded enough to think that anyone actually listens to me or cares what I have to say; 3. I am tired of being censored in other forums when my arrows hit too close to the mark and lastly, 4. that some who actually have read and or published what I have written (The NY Times, Financial Times, The Economist) as well as hundreds of people in several web-forums I participate in regularly have been urging me to do this for years. My interests run the gamut but, while I make no pretense to be expert at any, I try to keep my comments focused on those topics where I can add some value to the public discourse - whether it be about international relations, technology, politics, business, music, travel, or certain sports. Or just to make someone somewhere spit their beverage on the screen and laugh till their kidneys hurt. So prepare to be offended, interested, bored, stimulated, entertained, pissed off, informed and I hope, once in a while, enlightened. Come back to visit often and feel free to express your views with netiquette, civility and intelligence; well supported by logic or fact. For there is little that I enjoy more than being proven wrong or misinformed as it reduces my ignorance by a bit every time. However, as many of my readers elsewhere will attest, I have no qualms about horsewhipping someone who spouts an opinion they can't, or refuse to, back up. So keep it real and I'll keep it fair. Thanks for visiting.
